The Knebworth Neighbourhood Plan Regulation 14 consultation ends on 9 May 2020.

Due to current restrictions arising because of the COVID-19 pandemic, all sites, where you could inspect the full document, are now closed and the Open Day scheduled for 18 April has been cancelled.

Knebworth Neighbourhood Plan - Presubmission Consultation

The Knebworth Neighbourhood Plan - Presubmission is out for consultation from 14 March 2020 to 9 May 2020.

The document cannot override the NHDC Local Plan and remove the sites allocated for development in Knebworth, however it contains a number of policies which aim to mitigate the impact on the village.

South Central Growth & Transport Plan Consultation

The South Central Growth & Transport Plan (NCGTP) is a new transport strategy to help direct and plan transport improvements and investment in Stevenage and North Hertfordshire, developed in line with forecast development to 2031.

Proposals to improve movement along the B197 corridor are included in both North and South Centreal Transport Plans. Both are on consultation until 30 March 2020

Station Pub Survey

In a village wide survey the Parish Council asked the question

Should Knebworth Parish Council borrow funds to purchase the Station Pub as a Public House and Village Asset?

There were 560 responses, with 79% supporting the Parish Council borrowing funds to bid for the Station Pub.

Woolmer Green PC Meeting - Call for sites

Woolmer Green Parish Council held a meeting on 4 June 2019 to highlight the potential development sites being considered by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council. If approved it could result in a further 200+ homes in the area. Comments on the sites must be sent to WHBC by 5pm on 18 June 2019.

Public Meeting WHBC Call for Sites 4 June

Woolmer Green Parish Council is to hold a Public meeting to discuss the WHBC consultation on the 140 new sites for development in the district. There are three sites identified for Woolmer Green which could accommodate another 200 dwellings.

The meeting is to be held on Tuesday 4 June 2019 at 7.30pm in Woolmer Green Village Hall.
