Volunteers Needed for Knebworth Library

Knebworth Community Library has reopened in the new building. The library is run by volunteers, supported by Stevenage Library. It is currently open for four afternoons a week for two hours.

Scarecrow Festival 12 September

A scarecrow festival is to be held on Saturday 12 September from 11.00 until 4.00pm. Maps can be picked up at the Station Pub for a donation. For those of you wishing to enter a scarecrow please email knebworthscarecrowfestival@gmail.com

The event is being run by the former SOSPub group and is being held in memory of Caroline Berkley. All funds raised will be donated to the Isobel Hospice.

The Parish Council is helping revive the Knebworth Festival and an AGM is to be held on Monday 6 September at 8.00pm in Knebworth Village Hall. All are welcome.

KATS seeking new members

Knebworth Amateur Theatrical Society (KATS) have agreed to recommence activities and performances curtailed by the pandemic.

It is hopeful – if restrictions allow – to commence rehearsals in September for its next production to be staged in December.

Unfortunately, during lockdown, a number of its long-standing members have moved away, so it is actively looking to recruit new members.

Consultation on Swangley's Green, Land south of Watton Road

Have Your Say on the High Street Restrictions

Local residents and businesses are being asked for their views on the COVID-19 safety measures that were put in place in local High Streets during the pandemic.

Barriers were introduced on the High Street to create wider paths in April 2020 and were removed on 20 May 2021.
