Hole near Allotments

A hole has appeared on the path near the allotments as a result of a broken storm drain. Both landowner and Herts County Council are aware of the problem.

B656 Closed for White Lining

Road Lining works are scheduled between 10 and 12 July on B656 Hitchin Road and London Road. The road from Burleigh Farm Track to Langley Lane will be closed between 8:00pm and 05:00am.

Station Pub Survey

In a village wide survey the Parish Council asked the question

Should Knebworth Parish Council borrow funds to purchase the Station Pub as a Public House and Village Asset?

There were 560 responses, with 79% supporting the Parish Council borrowing funds to bid for the Station Pub.

Woolmer Green PC Meeting - Call for sites

Woolmer Green Parish Council held a meeting on 4 June 2019 to highlight the potential development sites being considered by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council. If approved it could result in a further 200+ homes in the area. Comments on the sites must be sent to WHBC by 5pm on 18 June 2019.

Public Meeting WHBC Call for Sites 4 June

Woolmer Green Parish Council is to hold a Public meeting to discuss the WHBC consultation on the 140 new sites for development in the district. There are three sites identified for Woolmer Green which could accommodate another 200 dwellings.

The meeting is to be held on Tuesday 4 June 2019 at 7.30pm in Woolmer Green Village Hall.

Village Survey: The Station Pub

The Parish Council would like to receive residents' views on whether it should borrow funds to purchase the Station Pub as a Public House and Village Asset.

You can complete an online survey or print a survey form and return it to a post box at the Village Hall, Village News, Village Stores (Stockens Green) and Lucas May Florist (London Road).

WHBC Promoted Housing Sites Consultation

Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council carried out a Call for Sites in January and February 2019. Over 140 sites were promoted for housing, employment, mixed use or other forms of development. An additional four sites are being promoted in Woolmer Green.

Luton Airport Noise Relaxation Application
