Parking Enforcement

As lockdown is easing on 15 June NHDC will be issuing warning notices to those vehicles not displaying a valid permit in our residential parking zones or parked on a single yellow line. It will encourage people to contact the Parking Services Team who will advise them on how they can apply for a permit or where they can park safely. If a resident is parking in the car park and is self-isolating, then we will ask people to contact the Parking Services team for a special permit for the period required.

NHDC has also noticed that there have been number of vehicles using the Council's car parks over the lockdown period that have not been paying for parking sessions. It has displayed notices in each of our car parks reminding people to pay. As from next week it will be issuing warning notices to vehicles parked in the Council's car parks. These notices will be issued to those vehicles not displaying a valid parking ticket, disabled persons permit, season ticket or special permit issued to health and certain key workers under the Government's COVID-19 guidance.
