Brown Bin Garden Waste Collection

If you haven't renewed your brown bin garden waste subscription to North Hertfordshire District Council then you need to do it now to prevent any disruption in the service.

This year NHDC is issuing stickers for residents to attach to their bin(s) as proof of subscription. These will be mailed out to those who subscribe and will clearly indicate to collection crews those households which have paid for the garden waste service. Those who already subscribe to the service can put out garden waste bin(s) as usual whilst waiting for the permit to arrive.

Residents can re-subscribe in four ways:

  • Go to www.north-herts.gov.uk/gardenwaste
  • Call Urbaser directly on 0800 3286023 to make the payment over the phone
  • Stop by the NHDC Council Offices and use the payment kiosk in the Reception area
  • By post: to NHDC Council Offices, Gernon Road, Letchworth SG6 3JF. Write on the back of a cheque Brown bin waste, name, address and state if you want a receipt.
