Hertfordshire County Council's Admission Arrangements 2024/25

On 11th October 2022, County Council Cabinet proposed to retain Hertfordshire's existing admission arrangements, schemes of coordination and relevant areas for 2024/25 but, in line with decreased demand, agreed to consult on proposals to reduce the Published Admission Number at 5 community primary schools.

Local Walking and Cycling Improvement Plan Consultation

A new Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) for North Herts is proposed, which sets out ideas for creating safer pavements, footpaths, pedestrian crossings and cycle routes. This includes proposals for Knebworth.

The consultation is being held by Hertfordshire County Council (HCC), in partnership with North Herts Council, and will run from 26 September to 7 November.

North Hertfordshire Local Plan – Receipt of the Inspector’s Report

North Herts Council received the Inspector's Final Report on the Examination of the North Hertfordshire Local Plan 2011 – 2031 on 8th September 2022.

Family Fun Stay & Play -31 August

Herts Family Centre Service is running a Fun Session for 0-8 year olds during the summer holiday, which is accessible for all. An event is to be held at Knebworth recreation grounds on Wednesday 31 August 10.00-11.30 am.

Activities are aimed at under fives, but older children are welcome to attend with younger siblings.

All children must be accompanied by an adult

Police Surgery 23 July

The Rural Safer Neighbourhood team will be holding a police surgery/crime prevention event on St Martins Green on Saturday 23 July between 10.00 hrs -12.00hrs.

Fire, Knebworth Recreation Grounds

Fire, Knebworth Recreation Grounds

On Saturday 7th May 2022, the fire brigade was called out to a fire in Knebworth Recreation Grounds, which had been started between 8.00pm and 9.00pm in the timber adventure play area.

Neighbourhood Plan is Made

The Knebworth Neighbourhood Plan referendum took place on Thursday 5th May 2022. Local elections were also held on the same day and there was a 49% turnout. The vote was 83.9% in favour of the plan being used by NHDC to determine planning applications for Knebworth.

The Parish Council would like to thank everyone who has supported the Neighbourhood Plan.
