Access Road

The work on the access road is now complete. The barrier installed at the Watton Road entrance will be open during the day from tomorrow.

Solar Farm, Three Houses Lane

The Secretary of State has decided to call in the planning application for a Solar Farm on land adjacent to Three Houses Lane, Codicote. A date for the Public Inquiry will be announced in due course.

Future Plans for Odyssey Health & Racquet Club

Odyssey Group Holdings Limited is pleased to invite local residents to a public exhibition where you can see and comment on the emerging plans for the site (which could include a large number of dwellings). Public Toilets, St Martins Road

Unfortunately one of the windows to the public toilets in St Martins Road has been smashed from the outside. The second toilet is open until repairs have been carried out.

Damage in the recreation grounds

The summer holidays have arrived and the recreation ground is a busy place. The new play equipment has been well received by children of all age groups.

However there has recently been a worrying trend of youths starting fires in the recreation grounds, which has caused some damage. If anyone sees any one damaging property in any of the recreation grounds please contact the police.

Access Road, Recreation Ground

Work on the access road to the Recreation Ground off Watton Road is scheduled to start on Monday 20 July 2015 and will last three weeks. The access will be closed on Sunday 19 July 2015 at 17.30hrs to allow a prompt start on Monday morning.

DriveSafe Scheme

Hertfordshire Police run a Community DriveSafe scheme in response to concerns about speeding in communities. Volunteers are given speed display equipment and stand at the roadside monitoring passing vehicles. Speeding motorists are sent an advisory letter and frequent offenders could receive a visit from a police officer.

Petition for Speed Restriction Measures - Pondcroft and Milestone Road

A resident has started an online petition to introduce speed restriction measures in Pondcroft and Milestone Roads. HCC endorsed a speed management strategy in March 2014.

The closing date for the petition is 30 September 2015
