Village Survey: The Station Pub

The Parish Council would like to receive residents' views on whether it should borrow funds to purchase the Station Pub as a Public House and Village Asset.

You can complete an online survey or print a survey form and return it to a post box at the Village Hall, Village News, Village Stores (Stockens Green) and Lucas May Florist (London Road).

WHBC Promoted Housing Sites Consultation

Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council carried out a Call for Sites in January and February 2019. Over 140 sites were promoted for housing, employment, mixed use or other forms of development. An additional four sites are being promoted in Woolmer Green.

Luton Airport Noise Relaxation Application

On the 17th April London Luton Airport Operations Limited (LLAOL) submitted a new planning application (reference 19/00428) to relax the day and night noise contour restriction imposed on their 2015 planning consent.

Station Pub

The Station, Public House constructed in 1883 is a prominent landmark in the centre of Knebworth. This establishment closed in February 2017 and became subject to a planning application to split the site in two, converting the garden area into residential properties.

Annual Parish Meeting 1 May

Knebworth Parish Council invites all members of the Parish to its Annual Parish Meeting at 8.00pm in Knebworth Village Hall when Parish Councillors will give reports on the year's work.

Doors open at 7.30pm and refreshments will be served.

Air Pollution Alerts for Hertfordshire residents

Hertfordshire County Council, in partnership with nine district and borough councils and two Bedfordshire local authorities, has launched a new Air Pollution Alert Service for residents.

Knebworth Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group held a successful open day on Saturday 2 March.

A1(M) junction 6 to junction 8 smart motorway

Highways England is currently developing the preliminary design for a smart motorway between A1(M) junctions 6 and 8.

This scheme will be "All Lane Running". This means that the hard shoulder will be converted into a permanent running lane for drivers to help reduce congestion.
