Under 5's Stories and Rhymes

Welwyn & Knebworth Children's Centre Group, in partnership with the library service, runs story time for the under fives. It's held in Knebworth Library every Thursday from 2.15-3.00pm during term time. A voluntary donation of £1.00 per family is requested, no booking required.

Play Equipment, Knebworth Recreation Grounds

The timber play equipment in Knebworth Recreation Grounds is closed, due to an arson attack last night. A bench, part of the fence and the surfacing have been damaged. Fortunately the quick response of the Stevenage Fire Brigade minimised the damage.

Health Walks

Everyone is welcome to join us for a short walk, especially designed for people with reduced mobility and those who would just enjoy a gentle stroll. If we have enough leaders on any particular walk, we are able offer a slightly longer walk at the same time.

McCarthy & Stone Development

McCarthy & Stone have revealed their plans for the Chas Lowe Site. It proposes to build 48 assisted living flats, with 24 car parking spaces and there will also be three retails units. They would like to receive your feedback.

The McCarthy & Stone exhibition on its proposals for the Chas Lowe site is today, Tuesday 28 March, from 3.30-7.30 at Trinity Church Hall, Park Lane, next to the village hall.

Development of Entech Site

Taylor Wimpey is proposing to redevelop the Entech site in Woolmer Green. The development will comprise 72 dwellings plus retail and office space and car park.

Road Works, London Road

There is resurfacing of London Road proposed over a couple of nights between Gun Road and Watton Road which is scheduled to start on 18 April. The road markings including the mini roundabout markings should be refreshed shortly after the resurfacing.

Quiz Night

A quiz night is to be held on Saturday 25 March at 7.00pm at Knebworth Village Hall in aid of the 'Save the Station Pub, Knebworth.' Tickets are £10 each which includes a fish and chip supper and are available from the Co-Op or email:saveourstationpubknebworth.org.uk

McCarthy & Stone Development

3McCarthy & Stone is to hold a public exhibition on Tuesday 28 March 2017 at Trinity Church Hall, Park Lane between 3.30-7.30pm. Its proposals for the redevelopment of Chas Lowe's site with Assisted Living (Extra Care) accommodation will be on display.
